Tools & Tips to Apply Agrowinn-Minerals®
& Agrowinn-Worm-Castings

Indoor and Outdoor Watering Cans

Use Agrowinn-Minerals® only. For 1 Gallon of water use 1-3 teaspoons of Minerals. Stir well before each use as the Minerals will eventually settle on the bottom. Always keep water in the can. (Tip: For potted plants use old water, for fresh cut flowers use fresh water).

Hose End Sprayers

When using hose end sprayers:

Open up to max and use this method every time you water.
Leave the sprayer on the hose
Add 1-2 tablespoons or more of Minerals
Shake as often as possible to keep the Minerals suspended.

Back Pack Sprayers

Use back pack sprayers with diaphragm pumps only like the SP-1 (4 gallon). These work great to use around the house. If you buy a sprayer, make sure it says "for use with wetable powders".

Spray over every plant
Try to avoid the open blossoms
2-3 tablespoons should do it.

Small Drop Spreaders

A small drop spreader like the Scotts Model 3000 with its wide (reel shovels) works perfect for homeowners lawns.

One bag fits and covers about 5000 sq. ft. in the 15-18 position
Holds at least 25 lbs.

Tank Sprayers

A 200 Gallon tank sprayer with 5.5 horsepower Honda engine, with diaphragm pump and 250 ft. of hose. While application rates vary for tank sprayers, they are generally good for:

Larger lawns
Hard to reach slopes
Horse pastures
Sports fields
And golf courses

Spike Aerator/Drop Spreaders

The John Deere 40" spike aerator/drop spreader, which holds 100 lbs. of fertilizer, is great to use for:

Larger lawns
Horse pastures
Sports fields
And golf courses

Pictured at right is George Spoerri applying fertilizer with a spike and drop spreader. A small trailer like the one pictured provides efficient transportation.

Tip on Applying Agrowinn Fertilizer

Pictured below is Larry from Budwood Farm showing how to fertilize a hillside Cherimoya. He is using 2 lbs. for a 3-6' tree. Pour the fertilizer into the well then cover with mulch.
